The Centre for Investigation and Research (CIR) is a non-governmental organisation registered in the Republic of Cyprus (registration number HE 471075) and based in Nicosia. CIR is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. Contact: europecir@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

When you use the contact form, we receive what you enter: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and message. Please do not send sensitive personal data through the form. The website platform (Wix) also collects technical data, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookies, to run the site and produce visitor statistics.

3. Why we use it

We use contact form data only to read and answer your message and to keep a record of our correspondence. Technical data helps keep the website secure and working and shows us, in aggregate, how it is used. The legal basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the website (Article 6(1)(a) and (f) GDPR).

4. Who receives it

Your data is processed by Wix.com Ltd., which hosts this website, and by Google, whose email service we use. We do not sell personal data or share it with anyone for marketing purposes. We treat messages from sources and whistleblowers as confidential.

We keep correspondence only for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of our communication, unless the law requires a longer period.

Under the GDPR you may ask us for access to your data, its correction or deletion, restriction of processing or data portability, object to processing, and withdraw your consent at any time.
